IronMerge is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a long-term opportunity supporting an established Western Australian mining operation.
Offering an 8/6 FIFO roster and an indicative full time permanent package from $200,000 negotiable. The position provides the balance of a senior maintenance role without an extended FIFO swing.
You will have clear ownership across the day-to-day performance of a mixed heavy mobile plant fleet, with the opportunity to influence equipment reliability, maintenance standards and the capability of your team.

Your role You will lead the site maintenance team and coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance across a mixed fleet of mining and civil equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising daily maintenance activities and allocating work across the team
Coordinating planned servicing, repairs and breakdown response
Setting clear priorities to support fleet availability and site production
Ensuring maintenance work is completed safely and to the required standard
Reviewing equipment defects and ensuring corrective actions are completed
Supporting parts planning, work scheduling and maintenance reporting
Monitoring equipment condition and identifying recurring reliability issues
Coaching tradespeople and maintaining accountability across the crew
Working closely with operations and site leadership
Maintaining accurate records and compliance with site maintenance systems
Fleet exposure The site operates a mixed fleet that includes:
CAT D8T dozer
CAT 336GC excavators
CAT 150 grader
CAT 966 wheel loader
Rammer 3288E rockbreaker
Isuzu 8×4 watercart
Light vehicles and supporting equipment
Previous maintenance experience across Caterpillar earthmoving equipment will be strongly regarded.
What you will bring
Previous experience supervising mobile plant maintenance within mining, civil or heavy industry
A recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate
Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Plant Mechanic or equivalent trade background
Section 26 qualification or relevant supervisory certification
Strong knowledge of planned maintenance and breakdown management
Experience leading tradespeople in a production-focused environment
The ability to prioritise competing maintenance requirements
Strong safety leadership and equipment ownership
Clear communication with maintenance, operational and leadership teams
A stable employment history and commitment to a long-term position
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
