IronMerge People are currently seeking experienced Poly Welders for a FIFO opportunity supporting our client on an existing mine site undergoing plant refurbishment, upgrade works and recommissioning activity.
This is a strong opportunity for experienced Poly Welders looking for long-term FIFO work, competitive penalty rates and the chance to be involved in bringing an operation back from care and maintenance into production.

Ordinary Time Rate of $66.78 per hour
Penalty Rates applicable for time and a half, double time and public holidays

About the role
You will be working across fixed plant infrastructure as part of a project team supporting refurbishment and upgrade works on an existing mining operation. The scope will suit candidates with strong site experience, a practical approach to problem solving and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced project environment.
Scope of work being completed:
Pipe fitting, installation, maintenance and repair activities
Refurbishment and upgrade works across existing plant infrastructure
Working with mechanical, structural and project teams to complete planned scopes
Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and work packs
Replacing HDPE and relining pipework
Supporting recommissioning activities as the operation moves back towards production
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity
To be considered, you will need
Poly Welder qualifications
Previous mining, fixed plant, shutdown, construction or project experience
Ability to complete a full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
Current WA Driver’s Licence
Unlimited Australian working rights
Current Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one within 6 months
Must reside in WA
Highly regarded
Previous experience on plant refurbishment, upgrade or recommissioning projects
Fixed plant mining experience
