About the Program: As discussed during the IronMerge People career and resume writing support session, the next stage of the JBSC Student Pathways Program is to put those skills into practice through a mock job application process.
This opportunity has been set up to help students experience a real-style recruitment process in a supportive environment before applying for future employment, work experience or placement opportunities.
At this stage, students are only required to submit a resume and cover letter.
About the Mock Role: IronMerge People is inviting participating JBSC students to apply for a mock Student Pathways Candidate role.
This is not a paid employment vacancy. It is a practical learning activity designed to help students understand how to read a job advertisement, prepare an application, submit documents correctly and take part in the next stages of a recruitment process.
What We Are Looking For: We are looking for students who are willing to have a go, follow the application instructions and apply the resume and cover letter skills covered during the program. You do not need previous work experience to apply.
To Be Considered Students should be able to demonstrate – A positive attitude toward learning and career development – A resume that is clear, simple and easy to read – A cover letter outlining why they are applying – An understanding of how their interests, skills or school experience may connect to future work opportunities – Willingness to take part in the next stage of the program
